We've been having a seriously good time with Mōdolo in the past few weeks, building out our wordmark into a full-scale visual identity system. After making the initial logo and letting it simmer for a couple months, we were eager to take a pass at extending the mark into different forms and shapes, translating it into the fun, dynamic brand we want to build.
The foundational visual element of Mōdolo is the beautiful ō inside the wordmark. As soon as we started imagining possibilities for type, apparel, and other brand collateral, the ō stood out. Its form naturally multiplied into all sorts of patterns that helped us visualize the growth and progression we envision for Mōdolo and for the design and tech industries.
We wanted the color palette to be lively, warm, friendly, and fun, to express the diversity of the work that we do and the products we work on. Each of these colors can stand alone, but they are even stronger standing all together.
What happens next? We're investigating all the ways we can apply this system across paper, screen, fabric, and much more, and we were just too excited not to share this with you sooner. Hope you enjoy this as much as we did. Let us know what you think!
